The Hartley Sentinel-The Everly/Royal News is a weekly newspaper located in Hartley, Iowa. It covers the communities of Hartley, Everly, Royal and surrounding areas in O'Brien and Clay counties. The publication is owned by The Press, Inc., of Ocheyedan, Iowa.

The Press, Inc., owners Arlyn Pedley and Jan Reiste Pedley purchased the newspaper from Ed and Will Robinson in July of 2016. The company has been family owned since 1950 when the late Bob and Evelyn Reiste purchased the Ocheyedan Press and later handed operations over to Arlyn and Jan.

Both the Sentinel-News and Press-News are members of the Northwest Iowa Peach. The weekly advertising supplement is inserted into nine regional publications and has a circulation of 10,500.

The Sentinel-News is an award-winning publication and has won dozens of state honors for its coverage. In 2020, the newspaper won first place in the Coverage of Education category at the Iowa Better Newspaper Contests for the third time in four years. The newspaper also took home seven other awards in a variety of categories.
