A total of 162 game officials were honored by the Iowa High School Athletic Association for the 2021 edition of its annual officials’ awards program. Through 2019, the IHSAA presented the awards at an annual banquet in Des Moines. Refunding of previously-issued bonds for the Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn facilities project was authorized during the school board meeting on April 19. School Infrastructure Sales, Services and Use Tax Revenue Bonds sold in 2019 will be refunded by the new issue. Approximately 5,000 pounds of wool were shipped to the Iowa Sheep and Wool Growers’ Cooperative in Des Moines.
