    The Iowa high school spring sports seasons may have been casualties of the COVID-19 pandemic, but summer baseball and softball have survived to play again. Gov. Kim Reynolds announced May 20 that summer sports may be conducted following a two-month activities suspension due to COVID-19. Since buses are not being used for their original purpose, they are now holding materials and equipment removed from Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn's elementary building until they can be moved into the new facility later this year.
