    • Feb. 12, 1948 The Peterson Hatchery was purchased by the Bloemendaal Hatcheries, of Alton and Sheldon. Kenneth Bloemendaal had charge of the Hartley hatchery. Mr. Peterson planned to remain in Hartley and would be associated with the Bloemendaals for a time. The Hartley girls breezed through the sectional basketball tournament in the local gymnasium with little difficulty.     After losing six of seven games over a two-week period, Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn rebounded last week with three wins. The week began almost like the previous one had ended at Hinton, with H-M-S surrendering a second-half lead and losing in overtime. Keevyn Jacobsma and Travis Kamradt signed their letters of intent during the national signing day on Feb. 1. Jacobsma will join the football program at the University of Sioux Falls.
