Putting together a complete lineup has been tough for the Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn girls’ track and field team, and so has been being able to compete due to the uncooperative nature of the weather. A maintenance fee for school-owned musical instruments and possible increases in admission prices to War Eagle Conference athletic events were discussed this month by the Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn school board. Music instructors recently met with Superintendent Patrick Carlin to discuss charging a maintenance fee to cover the cost of instrument repairs. A Royal resident owning a property with different classifications asked the city council on April 13 to designate one of the parcels with a new street address. The Superior engine was a 1,000 horsepower unit with a 1,000 kilowatt generator. Total price for installation of the unit, including building alterations and accessories, was $114,512.
