    The O'Brien County Veterans Affairs Office is a trailblazer in Iowa. Director Katie Ginger last fall opened a food pantry for local veterans at her office in the courthouse – the first of its kind for a VA office in the Hawkeye State.     Four Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn Dance Attack members traveled to Des Moines last week to perform as part of the All-Iowa Honor Dance Team. Jamie Diaz, Kinsey Schirmer, Delaney Murphy and Emma Vollink were four of the 238 dancers representing 98 Iowa high schools on the team, which performed during the Iowa girls' state basketball tournament.     CC/E audit report released Schnurr & Company, LLP, Certified Public Accountants and Consultants, has released an audit report on the Clay Central/Everly Community School District in Royal. Schnurr & Company, LLP, reported that for the year ended June 30, 2022 the school had revenues of $4,870,129, a 12.79 percent increase from the prior year. Operating expenses totaled $4,428,057, a 1.33 percent decrease from the prior year. The significant increase in revenues is attributed to an increase in state and federal sources.
