Travelers passing throughout northwest Iowa aren't seeing things. Several local cornfields have stalks with a curve near their base. Borden receives Valero Scholarship Wyatt Borden, of Sanborn, was recently awarded the Valero Scholarship. He is the son of Scott and Ruth Borden. Century Mutual Insurance Association on July 13 held its annual Firemen's Golf Benefit Tournament. This year's event was held at the Meadowbrook Golf and Country Club in Hartley. Century Mutual sponsors the event with all entry fees from the teams being distributed to the fire department of their choice.
