Hartbeat Piecemakers (HP) recently sponsored a tour of quilts and craftwork at the historic Patch-Eeten House in Hartley. Over 150 pieces of handwork were displayed, with the tour earning over $600 in donations. All money will be used for improvements in the house. • Sept. 22, 1949 Thirty large storage bins were set up on the former Luedke property in north Hartley. The bins were to be filled by the local elevators. Klein sisters place at state pedal pull The Iowa State Pedal Pull Association held its 34rd annual state pedal pull championship on Saturday, Sept. 7 at the Activity Center in Burt. A shortened 2024 Junior Golf Academy was held at the Meadowbrook Golf & Country Club June 11-12 with 26 young golfers attending.
