    Everly student on Northwestern dean’s list Christina Mueggenberg, of Everly, earned a spot on the Academic Dean’s List for the spring 2023 semester at Northwestern College in Orange City. The dean’s list is comprised of students who have achieved a semester grade point average of 3.50 or above while carrying a minimum of 12 graded hours. This semester, 366 students qualified for the Dean’s List. Kout, of Ocheyedan, was notified that an order was issued establishing a rural station of the Ocheyedan post office at May City, to be known as the May City rural station. Steve Siebersma was appointed clerk in charge of the station and the post office would be located in his store. Mr. and Mrs. M.W.     • June 17, 1948 More children than the average observer knew lived in the Hartley vicinity gathered in front of Neebel’s Danceland for the Kinderfest. Five hundred youngsters registered and took part in the Fogel Schiesen and Krug Schlager despite the intense heat.     Named to spring dean’s list at SDSU More than 3,000 students at the South Dakota State University in Brookings were recognized for outstanding academic performance over the spring 2023 semester by being named to the dean’s list. To earn dean’s list distinctions in SDSU’s colleges, students must have completed a minimum of 12 credits and must have earned at least a 3.5 GPA on a 4.0 scale.     The NEW Cooperative Foundation continued its support of local 4-H youth recently by donating $52,020 to 22 county extension and outreach offices, which will support 3,468 individual 4-H members.
