    An investigation that began as a turkey poaching case last fall has concluded with five individuals pleading guilty to 48 wildlife charges and assessed nearly $83,000 in fines and liquidated damages.     It's here. The Iowa Department of Agriculture and Land Stewardship on Monday confirmed that an infestation of the emerald ash borer (EAB) was discovered in rural Paullina and in Spencer. In addition to O'Brien and Clay counties, state officials also announced Monday the invasive pest was found in Forest City in Hancock County.     Iowa confirmed its third case of the highly pathogenic bird flu last Friday at a Taylor County egg-laying facility. Approximately 920,000 laying hens were destroyed following the discovery.
