The men’s league at the Hartley Bowling Alleys began their season. Twenty-four men’s teams were bowling on Monday, Tuesday and Friday each week. The women’s league was preparing for their season.

A new rotating schedule was set up by the schools of the Sioux Valley Conference to take effect with the 1946 football season. Each school was assigned three contestants and over a period of three years they would have to play all schools in the conference.
