Serving O'Brien & Clay Counties
Friends of the Library, with help from Ron Hengeveld and Deidre Welch, recently provided another literary outlet for readers and booklovers.
The unique structure was constructed with some recycled and scrap materials and is located by Hartley City Hall and the post office. Area residents and visitors are encouraged to bring, borrow, take and leave various types of appropriate reading material. All ages of bookworms may borrow or take an item to enjoy.
Users are encouraged to share with others by bringing or leaving an item. The project was supported by the Hartley Public Library, who will occasionally contribute books retired from their extensive collection.
