Meet a Maverick: Heidi Vasher

Heidi Vasher's passion for teaching has always been steered by a love of one-on-one, in-class work with students.

Vasher, Clay Central/Everly's new director of student services, enjoys watching students grow emotionally and academically. It's one of the main reasons she pursued a career in education, which has led her to work with several schools throughout the region.

"For the past 12 years, I have been working as a Learning & Leadership Team Member, Special Education and Literacy Consultant for Prairie Lakes AEA. Prior to working at Prairie Lakes AEA, I was an elementary and special education educator," said Vasher. "I have the pleasure of also being a part-time Foundations of Education professor for Buena Vista University and helping prepare our future educators for the classroom!"

Vasher is enthused about the opportunity to assist teachers and students in meeting their educational goals by joining the CC/E team.

"As a school, I look forward to supporting students to meet their Positive Behavior Interventions and Support goals and celebrations!" said Vasher.
