Serving O'Brien & Clay Counties
Michelle Munden has been an aide within the Clay Central/Everly halls and classrooms for nearly nine years now. She is a CC/E alumnus, graduating as a Maverick in 2005.
"I love the smaller school environment and caring atmosphere I received from my teachers and others," she said. "The teachers at CC/E always would strive to go that extra mile to show that they truly cared about you and your education."
Munden has enjoyed being a CC/E team member since joining the staff and said being part of the Maverick family is something for which she counts her blessings.
"I love working at CC/E!" she said. "It's always felt welcoming and everyone readily lends a helping hand."
Being back in the school building with students and being able to make person-to-person memories with each student – not to mention daily classroom activities – are all things Munden looks forward to this school year.
"I love being aide because I am passionate about making a difference and helping kids believe in themselves to accomplish great things," she said. "I want them to always know that we care."
Munden learned from former teachers that going the extra mile with each student makes a big difference in helping them succeed.
"Being aide is and always will be important to me, so I will go that extra mile with students because when students know someone is always rooting for them that can make all the difference," she said.
