COVID-19 positivity rates decreased in O'Brien and Clay counties over the past week.
As of Tuesday evening, O'Brien County's 14-day positivity rate was 8.6 percent, down from 10.9 percent a week ago. Clay County's was up to 12.2 percent from 11.2 percent over the same time period. The statewide positivity rate was down from 12 percent to 10.4 percent.
Coronavirus-related deaths were up one apiece in O'Brien and Clay counties to 55 and 21, respectively. There have been 4,492 COVID-19 deaths statewide, up from 4,332 last week.
Confirmed infections since the pandemic began tallied 1,718 in O'Brien County, 1,732 in Clay County and 314,420 statewide. Recoveries in that same order were 1,539, 1,514 and 276,462.
As of Sunday, there were 383 coronavirus-related hospitalizations in Iowa, down from 483 the previous week. One was from Clay County and another was from O'Brien County.
Administered vaccine doses as of Monday totaled 1,160 in O'Brien County, 877 in Clay County and 195,260 statewide, 184,921 of which were Iowa residents. Completed vaccine series were 32,564.
