“She generates their offense. We’ll have to look at how we can keep her from generating offense for herself and others,” Hawk coach Lester Tessum said.
Whichever team wins will travel to Moville for a quarterfinal matchup against either Woodbury Central or Siouxland Christian. That game will be played on Tuesday, Feb. 16, at 7 p.m.
The regional semifinal will be hosted by MMCRU at Marcus on Friday, Feb. 19.

H-M-S begins the Class 1A boys’ district tournament at home on Monday, Feb. 15, against Trinity Christian. Tipoff is at 7 p.m.
Hawk coach Mark Petersen feels his team is playing some of its best basketball as tournament time nears.
“We’re peaking at just the right time,” he said. “We just need to get better rebounding and on the defensive end. You can always improve on those things.”
Monday’s winner advances to the semifinal round on Thursday, Feb. 18, at 7 p.m. at Newell against either MMCRU or Newell-Fonda.
The district final is scheduled for Tuesday, Feb. 23 at East High School in Sioux City. That game will also begin at 7 p.m.
