The Clay County Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic stop at approximately 2:35 a.m. on April 5, in the 2100 mile of 440th Street/B53, near Greenville.

The report stated that the driver of the 2005 Pontiac Grand Prix was Judge Altenburg, 22, of Greenville, who was allegedly operating the vehicle while intoxicated. He was subsequently arrested and transported to the Clay County jail where he was booked on the charge of OWI-1st Offense, a serious misdemeanor. Altenburg was also cited for Failure to Obey Stop Sign.

Altenburg was held in jail until his initial appearance before the magistrate.
