Events kick off Thursday at Drake Stadium in DSM
Four individuals and five relay teams from Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn have qualified to compete in the state track and field meet, which will be held May 20-22 at Drake Stadium in Des Moines.
The following is the schedule for H-M-S participants (with those listed on meet program):
Thursday, May 20: 3:30 p.m. – boys' long jump (Noah Adams); 5:10 p.m. – girls' 200 meter dash preliminaries (Jasmine Lux); 5:30 p.m. – boys' 200 meter dash preliminaries (Connor Dodd); 7:35 p.m. - boys' 100 meter dash preliminaries (Dodd); 7:50 p.m. – girls' 400 meter dash finals (Lux); 8:10 p.m. – boys' 400 meter dash finals (Kooper Ebel).
Friday, May 21: 4:50 p.m. - 4x200 relay final (Adams, Ryan Borden, Dawson Schiphoff, Dodd; alternates Travis Kamradt, Ebel); 7:10 p.m. – girls' 4x100 relay preliminaries (Emily Mutombo, Lydia Harders, Abigail Otto, Lux; alternates Emily Otto, Anna Vander Veen); 7:30 p.m. – boys' 4x100 relay preliminaries (Adams, Borden, Schiphoff, Dodd; alternates Ebel, JP Mutombo).
Saturday, May 22: 2 p.m. – girls' sprint medley relay finals (Mutombo, Abigail Otto, Harders, Lux; alternates Emily Otto, Vander Veen); 2:20 p.m. – boys' sprint medley relay finals (Adams, Schiphoff, Borden, Ebel; alternates Kamradt, Dodd).
Finals for the 100 and 200 meter dashes and the 4x100 relays are also scheduled for Saturday.
