Serving O'Brien & Clay Counties
Another school year has commenced at Clay Central/Everly Elementary with both familiar faces and new staff comprising the CC/E team. Each week we will introduce you to a Maverick educator and/or staff member in this ongoing series.
Michelle Huntress takes on numerous roles at CC/E Elementary as its director of student services and Title 1 teacher. After earning her B.A. from Westmar College and M.A. from Morningside College, she headed to Iowa Principal Leadership Academy for her Administration Degree.
Huntress and her husband, Dave, have two children: Clare and Brady. She has a dog named Bert and enjoys reading, walking, traveling, dining on Greek tilapia and key lime pie. She also loves cheering on her favorite team, the Iowa Hawkeyes, and gardening.
Crystal Bunge has dual roles as music teacher at both CC/E and Sioux Central. Bunge is also a Morningside graduate, earning her Bachelor of Music Education and MSE from Buena Vista University.
Some of Bunge's favorites are watching Snoopy and the Peanuts gang, listening to anything from The Beatles or Billy Joel, cheering on the Iowa Hawkeyes and gardening.
