H-M-S bowlers find success

Two H-M-S Middle School teams placed at the 2021 Middle School State Bowling Championship held in Ames at Perfect Games earlier this year.

Placing second in the Boys Team Division were Dominic Tripp, Braden Niichel, Mykle Meyers and Parker Russell with a team score of 1,407 pins.

Taking first in the Co-ed Team Division were Eli Mastbergen, Kaidence Shaffer, Mahkenzie Mattingly and Jack Mastbergen with a team score of 1,578 pins.

Middle school bowling is an eight-week program in March and April where students practice a couple nights a week at Locomotion Lanes in Sanborn and compete in local middle school competitions in the area. The H-M-S team is coached by Bert Van Dam, Eric Mastbergen and Todd Venenga.

Middle School bowling season is set to kick off again March 1, 2022.
