Okoboji/HMS wrestlers broke into the win column in Siouxland Conference action during a double dual on Jan. 13 at Milford.
The Pioneers opened the night with a 51-32 win over Sheldon/South O'Brien. With Sibley-Ocheyedan able to fill only four weights, Okoboji/HMS rolled to a 72-6 win.
H-M-S wrestlers Nick Bronstad, Bryce Dodge and James Gellerman won a match by fall in the dual with the Orabs.
At Algona on Jan. 11, the Pioneers defeated Estherville-Lincoln Central (51-21) and lost to Algona (67-12) and Blue Earth, Minn. (63-13).
Bronstad recorded the fastest pin of the night (10 seconds) en route to a 3-0 performance. Dodge won a match by fall, and Jack Mastbergen and Ethan Wiersma each had one win.
The Pioneers improved their dual record to 8-9 overall and 2-3 in the conference. They will conclude the conference dual portion of the schedule at Orange City on Jan. 20 and compete in the two-day Herb Irgens Invitational on Jan. 21-22 at Ida Grove.
