Postseason basketball begins Saturday in Hartley

Class 2A girls' regional basketball tournament play begins Saturday, Feb. 12, with Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn hosting Alta-Aurelia at 7 p.m. The winner will advance to play Sibley-Ocheyedan in the quarterfinal round at 7 p.m. on Feb. 15 at Sibley.

Sioux Central and North Union will play on Feb. 15 at Armstrong and the winner will also play in the regional semifinal at Sibley on Feb. 18. The Region 2 final will be played on Feb. 23 at a site to be determined.

H-M-S will host Trinity Christian in the quarterfinal round of the Class 1A boys' district tournament. Tipoff is at 7 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 14. The winner moves on to play at Remsen St. Mary's (1A No. 3) at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 17.

The district final will be played at Sioux Center on Feb. 22.
