Serving O'Brien & Clay Counties
Last weekend's Clay County Pheasants Forever banquet was a huge success as the group reclaimed the in-person event after a brief hiatus during the pandemic.
The banquet was well attended with every seat in the house full of eager participants. The night included a silent and live auction, numerous gun raffles and tasty appetizers. Attendees enjoyed watching children zooming around from game to game. Activities included blow-up BB gun target lanes, minnow races, feather throws, bag toss, darts and more.
Pictured here are the children at the front of the auction stage getting ready to raise their hands and bid on their own items, causing a lot of laughter after a few went well over their parent-given bid limit.
Pheasants Forever is an organization with the mission to conserve pheasants and other wildlife through habitat improvements. The group strives to provide and promote public access, education, conservation advocacy and youth involvement through their program.
