Charles Wesley Stutz, 42, of Hartley, was arrested during the early morning hours of Wednesday, Feb. 16, following an alleged domestic disturbance at his residence.
According to the report, Stutz allegedly impeded the victim’s oxygen and blood flow by choking her, and he also bit her. Police reported the couple’s one month old infant was in the room at the time of the disturbance.
Stutz was charged with Domestic Abuse Assault Impeding Air or Blood Flow Causing Bodily Injury, a Class D Felony; Child Endangerment, an Aggravated Misdemeanor; and Harassment 2nd Degree, a Serious Misdemeanor.
A preliminary hearing in O’Brien County Magistrate Court is scheduled for March 9.
• Vehicle rolls after hitting snowbank
The O’Brien County Sheriff’s Office reported that a vehicle driven by Joshua Jay Mahler, 43, of Sutherland, was westbound on 460th Street, which is a Level B road. As Mahler attempted to drive through a large snowdrift the vehicle began to skid and entered the right ditch where it rolled and stopped on its wheels.
Mahler was not injured. Damage to the 1990 Chevrolet C1500 was listed at $3,500. Citations listed on the report are Driving While Barred, Driving While Suspended, Failure to Maintain Control and Failure to Provide Financial Liability.
