• Firefighters save hog building

The Hartley Fire Department responded to a fire at a hog building located at 6665 330th Street, approximately one-half mile south of Hartley, at 4 p.m. on May 14.

The report stated that firemen had to remove wood shingles from the building in order to get at the fire. They were able to save the building. The cause is believed to have been embers from a brush pile fire.

No injuries were reported. The Sanborn Fire Department was called to assist at the scene.
