Yvonne M. Baird, 69, Hartley

A graveside service for Yvonne M. Baird will be held at a later date. Hartley Funeral Home is assisting with the arrangements.

Yvonne Marie Baird was born March 24, 1953, at Port Allegany, Pa., the daughter of James E. and Ella Mae (Butler) Price, then of Keating Summit, Pa. She spent her early years in the Keating Summit area and received her education there.

Yvonne began serving her country with the United States Air Force in 1973 as an operating room specialist. Her last assignment was at Wilford Hall USAF Medical Center in San Antonio, Texas. She completed her military duty in February of 1975 and was honorably discharged.

Throughout her life Yvonne’s working career included being a cook, a bartender and a Department of Transportation escort for wide load hauling across the country. She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Keating Summit, Pa.

Yvonne passed from this life on Friday, Aug. 26, 2022, at the age of 69 years. She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Ella Price.

Left to keep her memory close in heart are her children: Shawn and his wife, Bridget Baird, of Spirit Lake; and Carissa L. Collins, of Hartley; grandchildren: Bobbie Jo Roos, Hunter Baird, Foster Baird, Gregory Collins, Nathan Hale, Nicholas Camp and Sophia Wilcox; great-grandchildren: Mia Roos, Quinn Baird and Kira Hale; brothers: Gary Price and Donald Price; sisters: Vicki Griswold, Wendy Hulick and Carol Price; other relatives and friends.
