Singing in the spotlight

Seniors are featured at fall vocal concert

Six seniors were in the spotlight during the Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn High School fall vocal concert on Oct. 25.

A trio comprised of Emma Schmillen, Shelby Kruger and Emerson Griffin sang "When I Look at You." Senior soloists were Bryce Dodge singing "Buy Dirt," Bryanca Holtz performing "Easy on Me" and Juliana Pasillas singing "See You Again."

The concert choir performed "America, My Home," "Bring Me Little Water, Silvy," "Let the River Run" and "Regalando Belleza." The final selection translates "Give beauty, give joy, give hope."

Director Kristi Daggett announced that Jamie Diaz and Jordan Lux took on the challenge of the All-State audition process.

"Even though we did not have anyone accepted this year, I am so proud of their hard word. The beast of All-State is not meant for just anyone."
