A funeral service tribute was held for Bruce Tiedemann, 59, of Earlham, who died Dec. 26, 2022 at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines. A tribute was held Saturday, Dec. 31, 2022 at the Johnson Funeral Home, Earlham Chapel.
Pastor Vic Rasmussen officiated with musical selections “Amazing Grace” and “Even Though I’m Leaving.”
Honorary casketbearers were Mark Recher, Glen Recher, Richard Gray, Randy Hickman, Lloyd Hykey and Brad Worthing.
A private family committal service was held Tuesday, Jan. 2, 2023 at Lakeview Gardens Cemetery in Okoboji.
Bruce was born Dec. 18, 1963 to Wilmer and Donna (Philiph) Tiedemann in Hartley. He grew up on his family’s farm and attended Hartley High School graduating with the Class of 1982.
In 1989 he was married to Tiffany Moritz and the couple was blessed with four children: Benjamin, Samantha, Madison and Blaine. The family lived in northwest Iowa and Nebraska before moving to Earlham in 2012.
Bruce farmed and ranched before working at Martin Marietta Materials when they moved to Earlham.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Wilmer and Donna Tiedemann; father-in-law, Elwin “Butch” Moritz, and grandmother-in-law, Delilah Christensen.
Survivors include his wife, Tiffany, of Earlham; children: Benjamin (Megan) Tiedemann, Story City; Samantha (William) Walton, Des Moines; Madison (CJ) Gross, Clive, and Blaine Tiedemann, Earlham; grandson, Theodore Gross; siblings: Kathy, Brian, Brent and Karla plus their spouses.
