Duo named all-War Eagle Conference for 4th time

Lance Berends, Kooper Ebel among 10 seniors on first team

The War Eagle Conference boys' basketball all-conference first team is dominated by seniors, and Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn's Lance Berends and Kooper Ebel are among them.

This is the fourth time that Berends has been named to the all-WEC first team. Ebel is on the first team for the second time, having received that recognition as a sophomore. He was on the second team last year and was honorable mention as a freshman.

Berends led H-M-S in scoring, rebounds and blocks during the 2022-23 season and Ebel was second in all three categories. He led the team in assists and steals.
