• Arrested on several charges
A Clay County deputy arrested Michael Daniels, 48, of Dickens, at 5:11 p.m. on June 26, on a warrant. The report stated that during the arrest, Daniels was allegedly in possession of drug paraphernalia and methamphetamine, and was driving on a suspended driver’s license.
He was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance-Methamphetamine, a serious misdemeanor; and Driving Under Suspension, No Driver’s License, Operation without Registration, Fraudulent Use of Registration, No Insurance and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, all simple misdemeanors. Daniels was held on a $1,000 cash or surety bond on the charges and on a $5,000 cash or surety bond on the warrant for Violation of Probation.
The sheriff’s department also reported that Daniels was served a separate Palo Alto County warrant for Possession of a Controlled Substance-Methamphetamine and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Bond for those charges was set at $2,000.
• Additional warrant arrest
Jimmy Ayers, 71, was taken into custody by the Clay County Sheriff’s Office on June 22, at 9 East 3rd Street in Peterson. He was arrested on an active warrant for Contempt of Court.
Ayers was held in jail on a $500 cash bond, and was also held on a Buena Vista County warrant.
