Serving O'Brien & Clay Counties
During the past few weeks, Clay Central/Everly 4-6 grade students have learned about the importance of using their voice, advocating for a cause, running for election, and what a good leader should stand for and do.
Students were then able to choose whether or not they wanted to run for the Student Lighthouse (similar to student council) position. Running mates campaigned with posters and giving speeches. Ultimately, the classes voted for their Top 2 picks to represent each class, with six students being chosen to fill the committee.
The students will be the selected leadership committee to represent and give voice to all other CC/E Elementary grades and students.
