• Swerves to avoid deer

The O’Brien County Sheriff’s Office reported that Robert Scott Wilson Carson, 35, of Sutherland, was northbound in the 4800 mile of Van Buren Avenue at 8:15 p.m. on Dec. 9. As he served to miss a deer, his 2000 Chevrolet Malibu left the roadway to the right, struck a residence lane and rolled.

Carson suffered suspected minor/non-incapacitating injuries but was not transported. Damage to the Malibu was estimated at $1,300. He was cited for Failure to Maintain Control.
