A split of two wrestling duals is the best the Okoboji/HMS girls could earn during action on Dec. 14 at Milford.

The Pioneers outscored West Lyon, 48-21, to claim their second Siouxland Conference dual win. Winning matches by fall were Alyana Alesse (130 pounds) and Avery Ballis (135). West Lyon gave up forfeits at six weight classes.

H-M-S freshman Madi Lauer lost her 115-pound match to Kiann Blomgren in 40 seconds.

Okoboji/HMS lost by a 48-30 margin to Central Lyon/George-Little Rock. The Pioneers lost six matches by fall. Dulce Ortega (110) won a match by fall and Lauer won by forfeit.

The Pioneer girls are 3-2 overall and 2-1 in conference duals. They are off until Jan. 4 when they will compete at Manson Northwest Webster.
