Changed garbage pickup in Hartley
Brommer Sanitation will collect garbage in Hartley on Tuesday, Jan. 2 due to the New Year’s holiday falling on Monday.
HLC food pantry
Current hours for the food pantry at Hope Lutheran Church in Everly are Wednesdays, 1-5 p.m. Everyone is allowed to come in and pick out their food, but masks are required.
Hartley native to lead worship Sunday at Trinity UCC
The Sunday worship service on Dec. 31 at Trinity United Church in Hartley will be led by Pastor Willie and Jennifer Rosin, of Muscatine. Pastor Rosin will give the message and Jennifer will play the keyboard.
Jennifer is the daughter of Russ and Diane Harms, and granddaughter of Roberta Petersen, of Hartley. The community is welcome to join for this time of worship.
Early deadlines for next week’s paper
Due to the New Year’s holiday, the ad deadline for the Northwest Iowa Peach is Thursday, Dec. 28 at 5 p.m. Deadline for ads, legals and submitted news for the Jan. 4 newspaper is Friday, Dec. 29 at 5 p.m.

Wednesday, Jan. 3: Breakfast – Cereal, pop tart (9-12), fruit, juice; Lunch – Fiestada pizza, carrots/celery, applesauce.
Thursday, Jan. 4: Breakfast – Waffles, sausage (9-12), fruit, juice; Lunch – Pork chop patty, mashed potatoes, green beans, pineapple, roll (9-12).
Friday, Jan. 5: Breakfast – Donut, fruit, juice; Lunch – Hamburger on bun, fries, broccoli, oranges.
Milk is served with each meal. Fruit/veggie bar offered daily.
Regular hours at Royal library
Hours at the Royal Public Library are Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, 3-5 p.m.; and Tuesday and Saturday, 9:30-11:30 a.m.
