Serving O'Brien & Clay Counties
The busy month of March has Clay Central/Everly hosting three large-scale fundraiser events for the Mavericks and the surrounding communities to enjoy. CC/E kicked off "fundraiser season" with its annual Daddy/Daughter Dance this past Sunday at The Great Hall of Royal.
This year's theme was the ever-popular Barbie and Ken. Fathers, father figures and grandfathers brought in their little Barbies and Skippers to enjoy an afternoon of pure fun. Participants dined on delicious cookies, pumpkin bars and popcorn cups, and also enjoyed beaded jewelry and craft stations. DJ Rockin' Rob Catlin dished out jams throughout the afternoon while dads and daughters enjoyed making memories and sharing laughs.
The girls enjoyed showing off their sweet dance moves on the Great Hall stage and dragging their semi-willing dads to the dance floor for some precious quality time away from the hubbub of life's daily grind. The event hosted nearly 100 daddy daughter guests and continues to be a highlight of the CC/E calendar year.
Upcoming events for CC/E include the Mother/Son Nerf Extravaganza on Sunday, March 10 and the annual Fish Fry Carnival at the end of the month.
