Serving O'Brien & Clay Counties
Area musicians entertained a packed house Saturday night at the Hap Ketelsen Community Center for "Cruisin' On Main" hosted by the Everly Heritage Museum.
The event served as a fundraiser for the local facility, which houses historical items related to the Everly area. Tunes from the 50s, 60, and 70s were performed by Mike and the Monna-maniacs and local vocalists Ann Fell, Connie Goeken, Iesha Toft, Tracy Meyer and Andy Nath. They put the crowd in the mood with songs by the Beach Boys, Chuck Berry, Aretha Franklin, Hall and Oates, and more. Elvis even made a guest appearance and performed a medley of his popular songs.
The band, led by Mike Monnahan, even wowed the crowd with a special guest performance by Elvis (Randy Dillingham).
Sponsors for the event included State Bank and Insurance, Custom Welding & Repair, Steve and Rose Fear – Everly Express, Doran Ag Pioneer Seed, and Dave's Sand & Gravel.
