Frankie Mohni records 1,000th assist of her career

Reaching a major accomplishment during an athletic career is great. Doing so when your team wins on its home court makes it really special.
Frankie Mohni experienced both during Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn's volleyball match on Sept. 16. The senior recorded the 1,000th set assist of her career, and the Hawks swept West Sioux to earn their second win in War Eagle Conference play.
Mohni has been the model of consistency as the Hawks' setter. After starting her career with 54 assists as a freshman, Mohni recorded 404 assists in 2022 and 399 in 2023. A 29-set assist performance against West Sioux increased her career total to 1,018.
"Frankie is one of the hardest working athletes I know," said Hawk coach Cheryl Kroese. "She understands the game and has been a consistent part of the H-M-S program the past four years. We are thankful to be able to celebrate this milestone accomplishment with her."
