CC/E students brush up on fire safety

This week the Clay Central/Everly Elementary students had a special visitwith Royal Fire Chief Matt Goyette. Goyette discussed all things fire safety with students in each grade. He encouraged everyone to have their own fire escape plan for their homes, check and maintain all smoke alarms in the home, and to never play with fire.

The students were able to check out the Royal Fire Department fire truck as well. Both the Everly and Royal fire departments encourage all to create fire escape plans for your home, discuss and practice safe exits to use, and to check your smoke detectors regularly.
