• Collides while attempting to pass
Two drivers were taken to the hospital following a collision near Primghar on Oct. 10.
According to the Iowa State Patrol, Anthony Schueller, 38, of Sanborn, was driving a 1999 White truck westbound on B40, four miles west of Primghar, when he attempted to pass a 2015 GMC Yukon driven by Molly Sauer, 36, of Sheldon, as she attempted to turn left on Polk Avenue.
Schueller stated that Sauer had her flashers on and not a turn signal, and Sauer said she had turned her flashers off and turned on the left turn signal.
The Primghar Ambulance transported Schueller to Sanford Sheldon Hospital while Sauer’s husband took her to the hospital. Damage estimates were $20,000 to the White truck and $15,000 to the Yukon.
Schueller was cited for Passing Too Near a Bridge, Intersection or Railroad, Operation without Registration Card or Plate, and Failure to Maintain or Use Safety Belts.
