Postseason honors go to H-M-S volleyball players

3 named to all-WEC team, 4 are academic all-conference

Five Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn volleyball players were recognized by the War Eagle Conference for athletic and academic performance.

Seniors Abby Douma and Frankie Mohni were named to the volleyball all-conference second team, and senior Kylee Schiphoff earned honorable mention.

Seniors who have a cumulative grade point average of 3.75 or above are named academic all-conference. H-M-S players earning that recognition are Addy Sheeler, Eliza Tewes, Douma and Mohni.

H-M-S finished in a tie for seventh place in the conference standings with a record of 4-6.

All-WEC player selections are listed below by school and grade.

Gehlen Catholic – Rysaiah Sitzmann 12, Aurora Goebel 12. Trinity Christian – Madelyn Vis 12, Kerstin Brummel 12. George-Little Rock – Wyleigh Steenhoven 12, Viktoria Storm 10. South O’Brien - Reagan Plagge 10.
