H-M-S winter sports seasons have begun

Practices have officially begun for the 2024-25 winter sports seasons and Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn athletes are starting to compete.

The Okoboji-HMS girls' wrestlers opened the season in a triangular at Emmetsburg on Nov. 19. They continue early-season action in a meet at Sioux Central on Friday, Nov. 22, and are back at Emmetsburg for the Lady E-Hawk tournament on Saturday, Nov. 23. Okoboji/HMS will also compete in a meet hosted by West Lyon on Monday, Nov. 25.

The basketball season opens with JV/varsity girls' games at Woodbury Central (Moville) on Monday, Nov. 25. The girls' home opener is on Tuesday, Nov. 26, when they host Sioux Central.
