WEC players named to ICGA postseason teams

Several volleyball players from the War Eagle Conference were named to the Iowa Girls Coaches Association all state or all district teams for the 2024 season.

Bailey Boeve, a junior from Hinton, was named to the Elite Team All State, the Class 2A all-state first team and the Class 2A Northwest all-district.

Other Hinton players recognized were Karlyn Kovarna, 2A all-state and Northwest all-district, and Katelyn Hoefling, Northwest all-district. They are also juniors.

Over half of the players named to the ICGA Class 1A Northwest all-district team are from the War Eagle Conference. Those selected are Addison Naslund, Josie Jacobs, Lainey Schuknecht and MaKenzie Hughes, of Akron-Westfield; Aurora Goebel, Kate Bonderson and Rysaiah Sitzmann, of Gehlen Catholic; Kerstin Brummel, of Trinity Christian; Tessa Tentinger, of Remsen St. Mary’s; and Viktoria Storm and Wyleigh Steenhoven, of George-Little Rock. They are all seniors.
