Hartley Community Center New Year's Eve trivia winners

The Hartley Community Center hosted its annual New Year's Eve bash on Dec. 31 with a meal and trivia contest.

Ninety-three people participated in the competition, which was emceed by HCC Board Member Nick Shaffer featuring his "Nick Trivia" quiz. Participants tested their knowledge on a variety of subjects ranging from music to cartoon characters to the history of soda pop names.

Winners of the trivia contest was Phil & The Blanks comprised of Jessika Storm, Anna McCarty, Joel Griffin, Seth McCarty, Phil Storm and Drew Sweeney. Team members won the coveted traveling trophy and $160, which they donated back to the community center.

All funds raised during the holiday event will go towards needs at the community center. Board members also announced this year's VIP Supper, which is slated for March 15 and a murder mystery as entertainment.
