They keep on winning

Okoboji/HMS continued its undefeated streak in girls' wrestling duals with two wins on Jan. 9 at Milford. The Pioneers defeated East Sac County, 54-17, and Pocahontas Area, 60-6.

Only three matches were wrestled against Pocahontas Area and the Pioneers won two. One win was by Mahkenzie Mattingly, who pinned Teeyona Corliss (4:37). She also won by forfeit against East Sac County.

Madi Lauer recorded two wins, both by forfeit.

Other Okoboji/HMS girls who were 2-0 were Kaela Weston, Brooke Stockdale, Dulce Ortega, Brilee Fauth, Kimberly Bergeson, Laylah Kalsow and Jenessa Gates.

The Pioneers (8-0) will host a double dual on Jan. 16 and participate in a tournament hosted by Estherville-Lincoln Central on Jan. 20.
